Initial examination and consultation

The first meeting is dedicated to understanding your oral health, needs, and expectations so that we can jointly define a clear direction for further therapy.

Check-ups

When does it make sense to come in for an examination?

The initial check-up is not intended only for situations where something hurts. It is an opportunity to get a comprehensive assessment of the condition of your teeth and gums, as well as a clearer picture of whether something needs to be treated, monitored, or preventively protected.

We recommend the examination if:
  • You haven't been for a dental check-up in a long time.
  • you have pain, tenderness or discomfort
  • you noticed a change on your tooth or gums
  • Do you want a second opinion on the proposed therapy
  • are you thinking about implants, prosthetics, or aesthetic therapy
  • you want to check the current condition before symptoms appear

First we analyze the situation, then we plan

The examination begins with a discussion about your dental and general health condition, symptoms, previous therapies, and expectations.

Next, we examine the teeth, gums, existing fillings and prosthetic works, and the bite relationship. If necessary, we recommend appropriate radiological diagnostics.

At the end, we discuss the findings and possible next steps. If therapy is needed, the goal is for you to understand what is recommended, why, and in what order.

Examination or consultation - what is the difference?

The examination focuses on assessing oral health and detecting potential problems.

Consultations are especially useful when you already have a specific topic or goal - for example, an implant, prosthetic rehabilitation, aesthetic change, or orthodontic therapy.

In practice, they often complement each other: a quality consultation begins with understanding the actual condition of the teeth and surrounding tissues.
