Preventive check-up

Regular check-ups help monitor the health of teeth and gums and detect changes before they become a bigger problem.

Check-ups

When is it time for a preventive check-up?

Oral diseases often develop gradually. Tooth decay, gum inflammation, or changes around existing fillings and prosthetic works can initially pass without pronounced symptoms.

A preventive check-up is recommended if:
  • You haven't been for a check-up in a long time
  • you want to monitor the condition of existing fillings, crowns, or implants
  • You frequently develop cavities.
  • you notice bleeding or gum tenderness
  • you have completed major dental treatment
  • you want to maintain oral health before problems occur

Monitoring a state that changes over time

During the examination, we evaluate the teeth, gums, existing fillings and prosthetic work, as well as any changes that may require additional attention.

We specifically look for signs of early caries, gingivitis, tooth wear, cracks, or issues at the margins of existing restorations.

If the clinical examination is not sufficient, additional diagnostics are recommended as needed.

Why come before something hurts?

Pain often appears only when the problem has already progressed.

Early detection of a change may require a simpler approach or just monitoring, while later detection may require more extensive treatment.

Preventive check-ups are therefore not just about looking for cavities - they serve to monitor oral health over time.
